Crane Meadows Nature Center - 6 mi. west of Grand Island, I-80 exit 305 (Alda), south side. Interpretive center and trails. Nearly 250 acres of prime river habitat of wetlands, woodlands, prairie, trails, and a gift shop. See turtles, ducks, turkey, deer, coyote and many other species. 7 1/2 miles of groomed hiking trails.
 
Fonner Park - 700 E. Stolley Park Rd. Thoroughbred horse racing.
 
Island Oasis Water Park - Municipally owned six-acre water park. Features include a wave pool, 4 slides, lazy river, sand volleyball, full concessions, children's play area, and more.
 
Stuhr Museum of the Prairie Pioneer - Junction of U.S. 34 and U.S. 281, 4 mi. north of I-80. Grand Island's Stuhr Museum of the Prairie Pioneer provides ever-changing exhibits and collections that tell the story of Native Americans, Old West, and pioneer life.
